My wife was taking our new puppy Maisy out for a walk along the dismantled railway track that runs through the secret campsite and she came across this quite large adder sitting on the path.
We have seen quite a few grass snakes already this year and there are loads of other signs of spring appearing all around the area..
Here are a few photos from around the campsite of buzzards, bluebells, wood anenomes and cowslips.
The view into the woods from bird cherry pitch is a carpet of white wood anenome flowers so i thought i’d get a snap of that to. Sadly my photo doesn’t do it justice and i don’t know how to use airbrush software.
Below are the cowslips and if you strain your eyes to the point of damage you might just discern the 2 buzzards in my aerial photo. To recover spend a moment looking at the bluebells.
Sussex in the spring is a beautiful place to spend some time so hopefully we will see you at the campsite at some point before summer arrives.
